17 weeks

I am officially 17 weeks and man has this pregnancy been going fast! I think it may be because I have a two year old to chase after and keep me busy all day. I never really knew how different each pregnancy could be. I understood that each woman has a different experience while being pregnant but I never realized that it would be different for each pregnancy. I am really enjoying this pregnancy. I enjoyed being pregnant with Katelyn too but I was always so nervous to do everything, that it might hurt her or me. I guess now that I have been through it once that I am a little more relaxed about it. The only thing I have been worrying about during this pregnancy is my weight gain but it is starting to catch up with were I am supposed to be so its all good.

I am getting so excited to see our little baby on the ultrasound again and find out if it is a boy or a girl. I keep going back and forth about which I think it is. I just can't decide which is kind of weird because at 14 weeks with Katelyn I knew she was a girl. Only two and a half more weeks!!

I have also noticed that with this pregnancy I am carrying the baby quite a bit different. I think I am carrying this baby lower than with Katelyn. I have also started showing a lot sooner, which I can't complain about.

Our little Monkey

I have come to the conclusion that Katelyn is going to be a monkey just like her daddy. She can climb anything and everything! Luckily she hasn't tried to climb anything that could fall over on her! But Grandma's house sure has lots of fun places to climb up and onto!

I have found myself saying "wait, how did you get up there!" a lot lately. In the picture with the car, she wheeled the car into the kitchen from the family room, parked it in front of the yummy cookies and then climbed up to get one. She is pretty smart!!

I can't believe that Katelyn in going to be two next month!! She is growing up so fast. She is learning so much everyday. We are starting to understand her talking quite a bit now. She can string three to four words together. She says things like, "momma more crackers", "Watch movie please" and "I can't get out". The main reason now why we can't understand what she is saying is because she talks so fast!

She is such a sweetheart! She is becoming more interactive with us when we play. Instead of playing with the same toy next to us, she helps us build with legos, have tea parties and asks us to read her stories. We are working on learning colors and numbers. She can point out red and blue objects pretty well. She can also say red, blue and yellow.

We love her so much!!

Bath Time and an Update

Sorry I haven't been that great at updating our blog lately. Nothing has really changed much around here. Andy is doing great at school! We still have way too much snow hanging around. Katelyn is saying new words and phrases everyday. It is so much fun to hear her talk. Her new favorite phrase is Momma I'm stuck or its stuck.

I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday. Andy and Katelyn came with me this time. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was beating at 157bpm. The doctor said that everything looks fantastic. My blood levels, my blood pressure and my weight is all good. The doctor did say that I have only gained 2 lbs since becoming pregnant which is alright but I do want to start gaining more to be sure that I hit 25lbs by the time to baby is born, which comes out to 3.5 lbs a month. Bring on the ice cream! We find out what we are having on March 5th, so give us your prediction. Boy or Girl?

A couple of weeks ago Katelyn and I were really bored with being in the house. We were tired of playing with her toys and watching movies. I decided that it would be fun to make some bath tub paints. They are so simple! you just take some of their soup and a little bit of cornstarch and then food coloring. Katelyn had lots of fun. She wasn't quite sure of it at first but then was all about making a mess. She is a great artist.
