Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

2 months and 3 days Katelyn has rolled on her own!!! We don't know how fast it is that little babies usually start rolling and things like that but it sure seems fast to us. Next thing we know she'll be crawling, then walking, then dating, then married! But as a parent it is always a fun moment to see your child learn something new.

So the story of how we learned she knows how to roll. Dana laid her down on her tummy and ran to grab something in the other room and came back just a few seconds later and Katelyn was on her back. Dana was pretty sure she had put her on her tummy and so put her back on her tummy. It took like 2 seconds to get her back on her back. So Dana ran and got the camera and this is what she got!

She never was much for tummy time. We are so excited for the progress of our sweet little one and will keep this updated with new and exciting things from her.

Two Months

Katelyn had her two month appointment yesterday. She weighed in at 9lbs 7 oz and was 23.5 inches long. She also had to get 3 shots. I felt really bad she did not like it at all. She is still pretty fussy today. I just wish that I could take her pain away.

Crafty Things

My crafty things posts have moved. If you would like to see what crafty things I am up to please check out my "crafty blog" as Andy would say. I would say that I am slightly addicted to looking at crafty blogs and following them that I figured that I can try and start my own. We will see how it goes. Come by and check it out. Its not much yet but hopefully over time I will be able to add a bit. My hope is to help beginners like myself learn how to make simple but useful things for their homes and also clothes to wear. I hope that it will be a fun adventure and something to focus my energy while Katelyn naps.

California Getaway

So We went to California this past weekend for one of Andy's good friends from high school Wedding. We decided to fly because it was cheaper than driving. I was a little bit worried about the plane ride with Katelyn only being a month and a half but she was a trooper. She slept the entire way there and the whole plane ride back also.

Katelyn and Andy sleeping on the plane ride

On Friday night we just hung out at Andy's parents house. It was really nice to be with family and just be able to relax. On Saturday We went to Krista's sealing in the morning. She was Beautiful! Her dress was gorgeous and the sealing was really nice. What a wonderful couple. We are so proud and excited for them to start their lives together. We also went to their reception that night and it too was absolutely wonderful. The food was fantastic and the decor was gorgeous.

On Sunday morning right after church Katelyn had just woken up from a nap and so of course she was all smiles. It was really fun to just "talk" back and forth with her.

After Church on Sunday we went and took some family pictures at Poliwog park in Manhattan beach.

Some fun new things that Katelyn has experienced and also some things that she is starting to do.
-went to the beach, put her toes in the sand and also in the cold ocean.

-Is starting to recognize people and will smile when she sees them. ie. Mama, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa mostly
-Starting to make more noises and wants to copy facial expressions. Mainly sticking out her tongue, opening her mouth really wide and wrinkling her nose
-Squealed for the first time today, really loudly
-Getting really good at holding her head up when she is on her tummy.
