Christmas Pictures

Andy's parents send out a Christmas card every year with a picture of the family. Since we weren't able to make it down for the picture we had to take pictures by ourselves. Here are some of our favorites.

We had the wonderful opportunity to take Conner to the MTC on Wednesday. We are really excited for him. He is going to be serving in the Manila Philippines mission.
While we were down in provo we had dinner with some of my friends from high school. It was really nice to sit and chat with them and catch up.

Lately our lives have been alittle boring. Andy has been working at UPS almost everyday and then old navy acouple days a week. We are very grateful that he is able to work and have a job (or two). I have been working on getting last minute school work done for the semester and also sewing little projects on the side. I can't wait until we can afford to have allowances again and I can tackle some of the bigger projects I want to make.

Winter is here!

We woke up today to about 4 new inches of snow. It is very beautiful outside, I am glad that I don't have to go anywhere today. Andy had to work today, which is a blessing but also a bummer. We are very blessed that he has a job that gives him regular hours but we were trying to make it down to California this weekend for Andy's brother Conner's farewell talk. We are pretty disapointed we can't but atleast we will get to see him one more time before he leaves in the beginning of December.

Lately I have been able to feel our little girl moving around and kicking a lot more. She usually has regular "kicking fits" at around 10 in the morning and 5 at night. Its really interesting. She loves to stretch and push her little feet up against my abdomen. She is a healthy, growing baby! We are really excited for her to be a part of our family in end of March.

Lately I have been on a sewing kick. I have lots of projects that I want to make for our little girl. I have recently made a diaper pouch to go in my purse/diaper bag. It is suppose to hold 2-3 toddler sized diapers and a travel wipes container.

I made it out of canvas and cotton. The canvas was kind of a pain to work with because it is so stiff but I am glad I did. I really like the way it turned out.
I also made a set of rag quilt numbers for Katelyn to play with we she gets older.

I thought that they are really cute and I had some scraps so I went ahead and made them. I want to make a set of letters too, I just don't have enough scraps at the moment.

The next projects on my list are to make a really cute dress for katelyn, ribbon flowers and a tote bag.

I think that we are going to start decorating for christmas today, a little early I think but still way fun. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and safe travels this next week!

21 weeks

We have been having fun in Idaho. It has snowed I think every day this past week...yuck! Andy has a job with Old navy and enjoys it except for the fact that it is a 45 minute commute. We are really excited for our little baby girl. She is getting bigger and I can feel her moving alot more. She is a healthy little baby which we are really happy about. This is what my bump looks like at 21 weeks and 4 days.

Lately I have been in the "nesting" mode. I really want to sew lately. I have been looking through different books and blogs getting Ideas of things that I can make for our little girl, her nursery and just our home in general. My back has been kind of bothering me lately and Andy suggested that I make a heating pad to put on my back. This is what I came up with.
It is filled with rice and it gets put in the microwave for 90 seconds. It works miracles!
I would love to put this quote in Katelyn's room.

I also love the colors of this mobile and the butterflies on the wall.

I would also love to make one of these to go in my diaper bag/purse.
I found how to make them at http://noodleheads.blogspot.com/2010/05/diaper-pouch-tutorial.html . They look pretty simple and really cute at the same time.

Anyways hope everyone is having a great November. I can't wait for the Holidays!

Its a Girl!!

We went to the doctor today and had an ultrasound!! We found out that it is a little girl. We got to see lots of cool shots of our baby. Everything looks great! Two little feet, two little hands and everything in between. We didn't get to see her face because she was being stuborn and wouldn't move. We are both really, really excited!!

This week we went to a few fun places. We went to Andy's "Spot" in west seattle that he goes to while I'm at work sometimes. I think its kinda funny that he has a spot in seattle that I had no idea where it was.

We also went to the Olympic Sculpture Park in seattle, it is part of the Seattle Art Museum. Its pretty cool they have a whole bunch of HUGE scuptures placed around a park and you walk around to see them all. We came to a sculture of what I think was suppose to be waves and I thought that it would make a great background for some pictures of us. We don't take many pictures of us together since we have been married and I thought that these might be fun.

In honor of Andy's birthday we went to the Boeing Museum of Flight. It was a lot of fun. I think that Andy was more excited by it than I was but it was still really fun watching his reaction to all the different planes and stuff.

One last thing I would like to say is that I love Andy SO MUCH!! We have been married for 6 months today and it has been the best 6 months of my life! I couldn't have imagined anything better!! I love you babe!

Sail boats, Baseball, Farm animals...Oh My!

This week I am officially 16 weeks along. Apparently I'm not showing alot for 16 weeks but that doesn't explain why I have bumped my tummy into everything that is close to it. Here is what I look like this week.

This week I have finally started to feel pregnant. I can really feel our little peanut move and kick. My stomach is really sore when I wake up most mornings. My favorite part of the day though is right before we go to sleep Andy likes to tell peanut good night. He will talk to peanut, kiss my tummy and then just lay on my tummy and see if he can feel peanut move. I love it.

Last saturday it was a Beautiful day so we decided to go to a park that we haven't been to yet. We decided on Gas Works Park on Union lake. It was so much fun to see all of the boats on the lake and also the bi-planes taking off. It was a nice way to spend a saturday.

Also last week we decided to go to Kelsey Creek park to see all of the animals they have there. We saw horses, sheep, chickens, a pig named joy, cows, bunnies and ducks that really didn't want to be bothered. It was a lot of fun. Kelsey creek park was one of my favorite parks when I was little because you can pet the animals.

This past Thursday we were invited to go to a mariners game, our friends had 2 extra tickets. They were great seats! We were on the third base line about 20 rows up. Unfortunatly they lost but it was still a lot of fun. We had Garlic Fries, not as good as I remember them, sang to the songs and cheered for the mariners.
